READY TO PLAY? GET STARTED TODAY!
Learn to play ukulele, guitar or both. Chicks with Picks Melbourne specialises in providing guitar and ukulele lessons to women. We also offer baritone ukulele lessons and support bass ukulele players in our groups. Find out more on our lesson pages.

Our class environment is a safe, supportive, and inclusive space to learn new guitar and ukulele skills. Chicks with Picks Melbourne welcomes all women including non-binary, queer and transgender women. We offer private, online and group classes, allowing you to choose the learning style that suits you best.

One of the beautiful things about enrolling at Chicks with Picks Melbourne is that you become part of a music community. At every opportunity, we bring students together to play music at end of term jam sessions, Summer and Winter School events and community music festivals.

Your teacher, Helen Begley, is a musician, performer, songwriter, and teacher who has been running Chicks with Picks Melbourne for over 15 years. She has helped 100's of students to start playing and to keep playing, write songs, form bands, but most of all to gain the confidence to have a go!

Men are welcome to join MOMMA (Men of Mystical Musical Ability), an offshoot of Chicks with Picks Melbourne.
So, come and have a go and become part of our lovely musical community!
